Friday, Nov. 25 – Putting it All Together

Sarah Giuffre – Sarah Giuffre Interior Design

This past week has certainly flown by! It’s been a whirlwind of meetings, product pick-ups, furniture arranging, decorating, and last minute touch-ups. I planned to use the entire week to prepare the house for the tour’s launch on Friday evening, and I’m glad I did. I knew the set up would be busy!

While products were picked up on Monday and the tree was completed that afternoon, I wasn’t able to gain any more headway until the furniture from Cottswood was delivered on Tuesday. It was hard to resist decorating further because I was so enthusiastic about all of my fabulous decorations. After some heaving lifting on Tuesday, the home was ready to be tackled even further on Wednesday.

The day began with a Shaw TV interview. We focused on the tree and the various decorations that I pulled together to create an overall look, so it was great to have had the tree done and many of the decorations already laid out. I was able to show off some fabulous items from CC’s on Whyte and from JYSK- it really is amazing to see how decorations from two different stores can be brought together and work so seamlessly with one another. As soon as the interview was done, the florist arrived and began her set-up. Our work continued for on Thursday, and then the home was complete!

After many days and lots of hard work, I’m thrilled with the final results of the home. I’ve had a great time working on the Homes For The Holidays tour this year! It’s been a ton of work, but there’s no better payoff than seeing your design plan coming together after months of planning. I’m looking forward to touring the rest of the homes this weekend to get the holiday season started!
